Instructions:

  1. First, fill a sink or bucket with cold water. Add a teaspoon of laundry detergent and mix it into the water.
  2. Check the care label on your clothing item. If it has any bleach-related instructions, follow those first.
  3. Soak the item in the mixture for approximately 30 minutes before removing it.
  4. If stain still exists, use a soft bristled brush to gently agitate the stained area in the water.
  5. Rise item in cold water and wash normally according to care instructions.
  6. If there is still a stain, create a solution of one part chlorine bleach and five parts water. Soak the item in this solution for up to 15 minutes, then rinse and wash as directed.
  7. If any stain remains, apply a laundry pre-treatment spray or gel directly to the area, rub it in and let sit for one hour before washing.

Additional Tips:

  • Test all solutions on a hidden area of fabric before applying to visible part of the jumper. Chlorine bleach can cause discoloration!
  • When using a fabric pre-treatment product, always read and follow package directions.
  • If the stain persists, consider professional dry cleaning.
