What You'll Need

  • Paper towels
  • Vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Washing machine

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Grab a stack of paper towels and blot the vomit stain on jeans, with clean towels as needed. Try to get as much of it out as possible without rubbing it in. If you’re at home, it’s also a good idea to put a clean towel on the other side of jeans to absorb the moisture and help contain the odor.

Step 2: Add Vinegar

After the area has been blotted, add white vinegar to stain. Let sit for 15-30 minutes, then rinse off with cold water. This will make sure the vomit doesn’t set into the fabric.

Step 3: Add Baking Soda

Sprinkle baking soda over the area and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. The baking soda will help draw remaining moisture from the fabric, as well as eliminate any odors lingering from the vomit.

Step 4: Launder

Launder the jeans with cold water and a few drops of washing detergent. Allow to air dry and inspect for any remaining stain or odor before wear.
