Using a light-colored cloth, moisten it with cold water and gently dab at the stain to blot as much of vomit residue as possible. Do not rub, scrub or press down on the fabric, as this could cause vomit stain to set permanently.
Once you have blotted up as much of the vomit as possible, mix a few drops of household detergent with cold water and apply it onto the stained area. Let it stand for approximately 20 minutes.
Once detergent has soaked into the fabric, rinse the affected area with cold water and check if stain has been fully removed. If not, move on to the next step.
If the stain persists, mix white vinegar with an equal amount of water and liberally apply it to the stained area. Allow it to soak in for a few minutes before gently rubbing the fabric together with your fingers. Rinse the area once more with cold water to remove any leftover residue.
When the stain has been removed, wash the georgette fabric as normal with cold water. To prevent any further discoloration, do not use any chlorine bleach or hot water. Air-dry the fabric instead of using a dryer.
With the proper steps and the right combinations of detergents and vinegar solutions, it is possible to effectively remove vomit stains from georgette fabrics. Be sure to always test any detergents and cleaning solutions on an inconspicuous area first to prevent any damage to the fabric.
