Start by blotting the area with a white cloth to remove as much of the stain as possible. Do not rub the affected area as this may spread stain and make it harder to clean.
Fill a bucket or bowl with hot water, then add a cup of white vinegar. Dip the stained area into bucket and allow it to soak for 10 minutes. This will help to break down the stain and make it easier to remove.
If the stain is still present after rinsing, apply a small amount of liquid detergent directly onto the fabric. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes, then rinse area thoroughly with cold water.
If the stain persists, try using a commercial stain remover or rubbing alcohol on the area. After applying either of these, wait for 20 minutes before you rinse the fabric.
Finally, hang the fabric up to dry in a well-ventilated area. Once it has dried, check the area to make sure stain has been completely removed.
