Step 1: Blot Up As Much of the Vomit As You Can

Start by blotting up as much of the vomit as possible. Use a paper towel and gently press on the area without rubbing it in further. Avoid using a sponge or any abrasive materials, as this will only grind the stain further into the fabric.

Step 2: Prepare a Cleaning Solution for The Stain

Mix together 1/4 teaspoon white vinegar, 1/4 teaspoon liquid laundry detergent, and one cup of warm water. Be sure to mix ingredients well so the solution is sudsy and not too runny. Test cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first to ensure that it won't cause any discoloration.

Step 3: Apply Cleaning Solution and Rinse

Using a soft cloth, gently apply the cleaning mixture to the vomit stain and let sit for about five minutes. Reach for a plastic scraper or spatula and gently scrape away the stain. Then, rinse the area with clean lukewarm water, using a cloth to dab away the solution. Finally, allow the fabric to air dry completely.
