Steps for Removing Vomit Stains from Dashiki Fabric

  1. Go outside, if possible, and gently brush off as much of the vomit residue as you can.
  2. Mix up a solution of lukewarm water and a mild detergent.
  3. Gently dab the vomit stain with cleaning solution using a clean cloth or sponge.
  4. Allow the cleaning solution to sit for a few minutes.
  5. Gently rinse the cleaning solution away with cold water.
  6. If necessary, repeat the process with a stronger detergent.
  7. Once the stain is removed, hang Dashiki to dry.

Additional Tips for Cleaning Dashiki Fabric

  • Always test any cleaning solution in an inconspicuous spot before applying it to the stain.
  • Never rub a stain. Rubbing can cause the fabric to snag, tear or permanently discolor.
  • If the stain persists, you may need to dry-clean the Dashiki.
