Step 1: Remove Excess Vomit

Use paper towels to remove as much of vomit as possible from the oxford cloth. Make sure to do this before the vomit dries completely. If the vomit is wet and pasty, scrape off excess material with a spoon or butter knife.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Mix a few drops of dishwashing liquid with warm water. Use a clean cloth and gently dab at the stain with soapy water (resist rubbing!). This pre-treatment will help loosen the stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 3: Soak the Stain

Fill a bucket or sink with warm water and add one cup of white vinegar. Submerge the cotton oxford into the solution and let soak for 10-15 minutes. Make sure there is enough water to completely cover area of the stain.

Step 4: Wash and Dry

Once the garment has been soaked for 10-15 minutes, rinse out the vinegar solution and then launder the garments as usual. Allow the clothing to air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Be sure to inspect the stained area after it is dry to make sure the stain is gone.
