Gathering Your Supplies
You'll need a few supplies before you begin cleaning your vomit-stained canvas.
- Old towels
- Baking soda
- White vinegar
- Laundry detergent
- Clean sponge
- Plastic bag or shower cap
Directions
- Using an old towel, remove as much of the vomit as possible.
- Sprinkle the area with baking soda, and cover it with either a plastic bag or a shower cap to contain the mess.
- Leave the baking soda and covering in place for at least 24 hours. This will help absorb any remaining moisture.
- Remove the covering and the baking soda, and launder the canvas item in hot water with laundry detergent.
- If any visible stains remain, mix a solution of 1/2 cup white vinegar and 2 liters of hot water. Using a clean sponge, sponge stain and leave it to sit for several minutes before rinsing off the vinegar solution.
- Air dry canvas item or machine dry on low heat.
