Clean Vomit Stains Quickly and Easily Without Damaging Cashmere
Cashmere is an incredibly soft and luxurious fabric that requires gentle care and attention. Unfortunately, accidents can happen, resulting in vomit stains on the fabric. The good news is, it’s possible to remove these stains with the right method and products.

What You'll Need
- Baking soda
- Dry cleaning solvent
- Clean cloth rags
- Leather conditioner
- Vacuum cleaner
Instructions
- Mix one part baking soda and one part water to form a paste. Generously apply paste over the vomit stain and allow it to sit for 30 minutes.
- Review the label of the dry cleaning solvent, then pour a small amount onto a clean cloth rag. Gently blot the stained area with the rag.
- Continue to blot with the rag until the vomit stain begins to transfer from the cashmere onto the rag.
- Rinse the affected area with a clean cloth rag soaked in cold water, then blot dry with a clean dry cloth.
- Apply a small amount of leather conditioner to a clean cloth rag and gently work it into the affected area. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove excess leather conditioner.
Tips
- Always read labels before applying any products to your cashmere.
- Avoid placing cashmere items in a hot machine dryer as this may cause shrinkage.
- Once the vomit stain has been removed, have the item professionally dry cleaned to remove any lingering odors.
