Step 1: Start by Blotting

The first step is to begin blotting the vomit stain with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid scrubbing or rubbing the stain, as this may cause it to spread further into the fabric. Instead, use gentle patting motions to absorb as much of the liquid as possible.

Step 2: Place the Garment in Cold Water

Once you have blotted the stain, it is important to give the garment a cold water bath. Fill a basin or sink with cold, clean water, and submerge the stained garment in it. Allow garment to soak for 5-15 minutes, or until the stain has been removed.

Step 3: Add Detergent

After allowing garment to soak in cold water, add a few tablespoons of a bleach-free detergent. Gently swish the garment around in water for a few moments, being careful not to rub material too harshly.

Step 4: Launder as Usual

Once you have added detergent, it is time to launder the garment as usual. Wash according to the garment’s care instructions, and then allow it to air dry. Be sure to avoid placing the garment in the dryer, as this could cause stain to set.

Step 5: Double Check For Stains

Before wearing the garment again, double check it for any remaining stains. If there are any, repeat the steps above until the stain is completely gone. After you are certain that the stain is removed, you can enjoy your clean and fresh business attire!
