Steps for Removing Vomit Stains from Burberry
- As soon as you can, gently scrape away any excess vomit with a non-metal spoon or spatula.
- Soak the Burberry item in cold water for an hour.
- Mix 1 tablespoon of liquid dish detergent with 2 cups of cool water. Drop two or three drops onto an inconspicuous part of the garment, such as inside the hemline.
- Use a soft bristled brush to dissolve the vomit stain in a circular motion. Do not scrub too hard as this could damage fabric.
- Rinse the garment thoroughly to remove all detergent residue.
- Repeat Steps 3-5 until the stain is fully removed.
- If the stain persists, pre-treat the area with an enzyme detergent before washing the Burberry according to the laundry instructions on the tag.
- Once the vomit stain has been completely removed, launder the garment as usual in the machine.
- Once finished, hang your Burberry garment to dry on a clothes hanger.
Tips for Removing Vomit Stains from Burberry
- Dry cleaning is not recommended for removing vomit stains, as the heat can make the stain set permanently.
- Do not use a blow dryer or iron to dry the garment as this can cause permanent damage.
- If the vomit stain was caused by diarrhea, soak the garment in a solution of 1 gallon of cold water, 1 teaspoon of ammonia, and ½ cup of hydrogen peroxide before attempting to remove the stain.
- Always check the care instructions before attempting to clean any Burberry garment.
