If your daughter has been sick and gotten vomit stains on her favorite barrettes, don't worry—you can clean them up with a few ingredients that you already have in your home. All you need is an old toothbrush, white or cider vinegar, and some warm water.
Rinse the stained area of the barrette under warm running water. This will help to loosen the vomit stain and prepare the barrette for cleaning.
Mix equal parts vinegar and warm water together and apply it to the stained area using an old toothbrush. Scrub the area lightly to loosen the vomit. Make sure you scrub gently so you don't damage the barrette.
Once the vomit stain has been loosened, rinse the barrette off again under warm running water.
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 as necessary until the vomit stain is completely gone. Depending on the severity of the stain, it may take a few passes before the barrette is completely clean.
When vomit stain is gone, allow barrette to air dry, or use a soft cloth to gently dry it off.
