- Mixing bowl
- A spoon
- Stain remover
- Clean white cloths or paper towels
- Cold water
Steps for Removing Varnish Stains
- Check care tag inside the item of clothing for instructions on how to remove the stain.
- In the mixing bowl, mix two drops of dishwashing soap in cold water until sudsy.
- If the stain is large, use the spoon to absorb as much of the varnish as possible.
- Apply the stain remover directly onto the varnish stain.
- Use one of the clean white cloths to dab the stain remover on the varnish stain and gently scrub in a circular motion.
- Rinse the cloth out in cold water, and continue scrubbing the stain with the damp cloth.
- Continue to rinse the cloth until the stain is gone.
- Allow the area to air dry fully before wearing the garment again.
