Steps to Clean Varnish Stains From Superga Shoes
- Mix solution. Create a cleaning solution by mixing one teaspoon of liquid soap with one cup of warm water, a half teaspoon of white vinegar, and a few drops of ammonia. The ammonia will help break down varnish.
- Scrub varnish. Start by using the scourer attached to the sponge to scrub very lightly at the stained area. Do not press too hard as this may damage the fabric.
- Rinse. Once you’ve scrubbed away as much of the varnish as possible, rinse area with water.
- Use cloth. Dip a microfiber cloth in the cleaning solution and blot the affected area until stain has been removed.
- Wash shoes. Place shoes in a sink or container and wash them using the cleaning solution.
- Rinse once more. Rinse the shoes with clean water.
- Let dry. Let the shoes air dry completely before wearing them again.
