Method 1: Sponge With Ammonia Diluted in Water

If the stain is fresh, take a sponge and dampen it with a mixture of ammonia and water. Make sure the solution is well-diluted as ammonia can damage the fibers of the silk. Gently dab the stained area with sponge in a circular motion, making sure not to rub harshly. Let the solution sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cold water.

Method 2: Soak With Salt and Vinegar

For a more stubborn stain, try soaking the stained section of fabric in a mixture of salt, vinegar and lukewarm water for a few hours. When finished, rinse the organza in cold water and hang to dry.

Method 3: Apply Denatured Alcohol

If stain is particularly difficult to remove, try applying denatured alcohol on it. Put a few dabs of denatured alcohol on a soft cloth and dab the stained area with it. Make sure not to scrub or soak the organza in it; just gently dab the stain until it fades away.

Conclusion

Varnish stains can be hard to tackle, but with these three methods, you can easily remove them from silk organza. Be sure to practice caution and not to scrub too hard, as it is a delicate fabric. If all else fails, consult a professional cleaner for help.
