Before you start trying to get the stains out of your scrubs, it’s important to note that some types of varnish stains may be permanent, and you may not be able to get them out. Do a spot test on an inconspicuous area of the fabric before committing to trying to remove the stain, so that you don’t accidentally ruin it.
The cleaning supplies you’ll need are simple and inexpensive. You’ll need some white vinegar, a couple of towels, some dish soap, and of course, warm water.
Fill a basin or bowl with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Soak the stained area in this solution for about 10 minutes. Then, take a clean towel and submerge it in some white vinegar. Place the towel over the stained area and let sit for 15 minutes.
Next, rinse the scrub with warm water. To ensure that all the vinegar has been removed, hang the scrub outside or in a well-ventilated room and let it air dry. Once dry, check area to see if the stain has been completely removed.
It’s important to not use chlorine bleach or fabric softener on the scrub. Both of these substances could damage the fabric and make it more prone to staining.
