How to Remove Varnish from Satin
- Using a dry cloth, dab at the stained area and blot as much of the varnish as possible.
- Wet two lint-free swabs with white vinegar and gently scrub the stain, being careful not to rub too hard.
- Fill a bucket with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Dip a clean sponge into the water and wring it out before using it to gently scrub the stain.

Additional Tips
- Do not use any kind of harsh chemical cleaners – they could damage the fabric.
- If the stain persists, you may need to take the fabric to a professional cleaner.
- After cleaning, hang fabric up to air dry.
- To prevent varnish stains in the future, make sure to keep your garments away from any materials that contain varnish.
