Before you begin, it’s crucial to pre-treat stain with a pre-soak solution. Create one by combining 1 quart of cool water, 1 teaspoon of laundry detergent and ½ teaspoon white vinegar. Soak the stained area of the pants in this solution for about 30 minutes.
After pre-treating the stain with the pre-soak solution, use a cloth or cotton swab to apply dishwashing liquid to the stained area. Gently scrub the stain with the cloth or cotton swab, moving in circular motions. Rinse with cool water once you’re finished.
If the dishwashing liquid doesn’t do the trick, try using rubbing alcohol. Dip a cloth or cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and gently scrub the stained area of the pants. Rinse with cool water afterwards. Repeat as necessary until the stain is gone.
Once the stain is removed, put the pants in the washing machine with the rest of your laundry. Be sure to use cold water when washing and make sure to skip the dryer. Hang the pants up to air dry away from direct sunlight.
With these easy steps, you can easily remove varnish stains from your pants. Just remember to pre-treat the stain first, then try using dishwashing liquid and rubbing alcohol. Finish off by washing the pants with cold water and air drying afterwards. Good luck!
