When it comes to varnish stains, act fast! Varnish is a type of paint or coating made of resin and oil, and it can be difficult to remove if left to dry. Fortunately, with these steps you can easily remove varnish from your Nautica clothing and accessories.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Before starting, gather some supplies: white vinegar, baking soda, a sponge, a cloth, a brush, and soapy water.

Step 2: Apply White Vinegar

Start by applying a liberal amount of white vinegar to the affected area and let it sit for a few minutes. The acidity in the vinegar will help to break down the varnish and make it easier to remove.

Step 3: Scrub off Stain

Using a brush or sponge, gently scrub the varnish stain until it begins to lift away. Use more vinegar if needed and keep scrubbing until stain is gone.

Step 4: Use Baking Soda

If there’s still some residue, mix some baking soda and water together to form a paste. Then, apply it to the area and let it sit for 30 minutes. Use a damp cloth to wipe away the baking soda paste and any remaining varnish.

Step 5: Wash with Soapy Water

Finally, give your Nautica item a thorough wash with soap and water to remove any traces of vinegar or baking soda. Let it air dry and enjoy your stain-free Nautica gear again!
