How to Easily Remove Varnish Stains from Your Loafers

At some point in their life, most people have had to clean a varnish stain off of a shoe. Varnish and paint can be difficult to remove, but with the right tips and techniques, you can get your shoes looking brand new in no time. Here are some tips for removing varnish stains from your loafers:

1. Test a Small Area First

Before you start trying to remove the stain, you should always test it on a small area of the shoe first. This will allow you to determine if cleaning method you plan to use is suitable for the material of your shoe. If it isn’t then you’ll know to try a different method.

2. Use Alcohol Remover

Alcohol remover is a great choice for removing varnish from shoes, as it is non-toxic and works quickly. To remove the stain, simply apply a small amount of alcohol remover to a cloth and then gently rub it into the stained area. Once the varnish has been removed, wipe area clean with a damp cloth.

3. Use Baking Soda Paste

Baking soda paste is another effective solution for removing varnish from shoes. To make paste, combine three tablespoons of baking soda with one tablespoon of water. Apply paste to the stained area and gently rub it in. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before wiping it away with a damp cloth.

4. Use White Vinegar

White vinegar can also be used to remove varnish from shoes. To do this, simply combine one cup of white vinegar with two cups of warm water. Dip a cloth into the mixture and then dab it onto the stained area. Allow the vinegar solution to sit on the stain for a few minutes and then wipe it away with a damp cloth.
