What You Will Need

  • White cotton cloth
  • Soap
  • Dry cleaning solution
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Baking soda (optional)

Steps to Follow

  1. Start by first assessing how bad the stain is. If it is not too bad, try blotting stain with a white cotton cloth soaked in a soap solution.
  2. If the stain still isn’t coming out, use a dry cleaning solution. Apply it to the stained area and allow it to sit for 10 minutes before washing as normal.
  3. If the stain is still persistent, it may be time to move to more heavy duty methods. To do this, grab some rubbing alcohol and apply it to the stained area. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes before washing or dabbing the area with a damp cloth.
  4. If this doesn’t work, mix some baking soda with water and gently rub it onto stain in circular motions. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes before washing garment as normal.

Conclusion

Varnish stains can be tricky to remove but with the right methods they can be easily eliminated. Just remember to always test a small, hidden area of the garment before applying any cleaning solution, as some may cause damage. With that said, follow this guide to easily remove varnish stains from your favorite crop top.
