varnish

Crepe is a delicate fabric that is prone to damage when exposed to harsh chemicals or treated with excessive heat. Varnish stains, in particular, can be difficult to remove without the proper cleaning technique and products. However, there are a few steps you can take to quickly and easily rid your crepe of varnish stains.

Step 1: Gather Supplies

The first step is to gather the supplies you'll need to remove the stain. You’ll need a mild dish soap, white vinegar, a non-abrasive sponge, a toothbrush, and a clean cloth.

Step 2: Test the Solution

Now it's time to create your cleaning solution. Mix together one part dish soap and one part white vinegar. Test solution on a small, unseen area of the fabric to make sure the solution won't discolor or damage the fabric.

Step 3: Apply the Solution

Once you've verified that the solution won't damage the fabric, apply it generously to the varnish stain. Use a non-abrasive sponge to gently scrub solution into the stain. You can also use a toothbrush in hard-to-reach areas.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry

When the solution has been worked into the stain, rinse the fabric with lukewarm water. Finally, lay fabric flat and allow it to dry completely.
