If there are any stubborn varnish stains that remain after following the steps above, try using a white vinegar solution. Mix one part white vinegar with one part warm water in a spray bottle and shake to mix. Spray the stained area with the solution and allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes. Using a damp cotton cloth, gently scrub the stained area until the varnish is removed. Rinse the area with cold water and pat dry with a clean cloth.
After successfully removing the varnish stain, take measures to prevent future stains. Try spraying the area with a fabric protector to help repel future spills and stains. Be sure to check the cleaning instructions for your corduroy before attempting to use any type of cleaning solution.
