If you have varnish stains on your bra, don’t fret—it’s not impossible to get rid of them. How? Read on!

Removing Varnish Stains with Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol is an effective way to remove varnish stains from bras and other clothing items. To start, apply a few drops of rubbing alcohol directly onto the stain. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before blotting the area with a clean white cloth.

Next, mix equal parts of cold water and white vinegar. Soak a soft cloth in the solution and use it to dab the stain. Finally, rinse off the area with cold water and then pat dry with a clean cloth.

Cleaning with Nail Polish Remover

Another effective way to remove varnish stains from bras is to use nail polish remover. Simply dab a small amount of nail polish remover onto a cotton ball or pad, and gently dab it onto the stained area. Be sure to not rub the stained area, as this can spread the stain further.

After you've applied the nail polish remover, rinse the area with lukewarm water. For a natural option, mix equal parts of baking soda and lemon juice and apply it to the stain. Rinse it off with cold water and let it air dry.

Using Dish Soap

Dish soap can be used to remove varnish stains from bras. Apply a small amount of dish soap to the stained area and rub it in gently. Let the dish soap sit on the stain for a few minutes before rinsing the area with warm water.

For tougher stains, mix dish soap with a small amount of white vinegar. Dab the mixture onto the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.

Preventing Varnish Stains

To prevent your bras from getting stained with varnish, avoid wearing them around furniture that has been finished with varnish or other chemicals. If you have to do some work with varnish, make sure to wear protective gloves and clothing and keep your bras away from any areas where varnish has been applied.
