Getting Rid of Stubborn Varnish Stains on Your Alpaca

Step 2: Apply the Solution

Next, use a clean cloth to apply the solution directly onto the stained area on your alpaca. Be sure to work the solution into the fabric using gentle circular motions. Soak the area for about 15 minutes before continuing.

Step 3: Rinse With Water

Once the solution has had adequate time to soak, rinse off your alpaca with fresh running water. Be sure to rub area gently to help lift stain away.

Step 4: Scrub With Baking Soda

Make a paste out of baking soda and water, and use it to scrub away any remaining varnish stains on your alpaca. Work in gentle circles and add more paste as needed. Let the paste sit for several minutes before rinsing away.

Step 5: Wash With Detergent

Finally, if the stain persists, mix a few drops of mild dish detergent into a basin of warm water. Dampen a cloth with the mixture and use it to dab the area. Rub gently and allow the detergent to penetrate the fabric for about 10 minutes before rinsing away.
