One of the most common fabrics for Alexander McQueen apparel is leather, and it can be harder to remove varnish stains from. The first step is to scrape off as much of varnish as possible with a dull knife or spoon. Next, gently rub the spot with a damp, lint-free cloth, using a mild liquid soap. Start rubbing in a circular motion and gradually increase the pressure. After you have finished, rinse the soap off with another damp cloth and let it air dry.
If you’ve got some denim Alexander McQueen apparel that has been stained with varnish, you can treat it in a similar way. Begin by scraping off as much of the stain as you can with a dull knife. If necessary, you can also make a paste using baking soda and water. Rub paste over area and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing with a damp cloth. Once the paste is gone, rinse again with a clean cloth and let it air dry.
Varnish stains can be stubborn on synthetic fabrics as well, but there are a few tricks that can help. Begin by scraping off as much of the varnish as possible and then dab at the stain with a damp cloth. Make a solution of one part vinegar and two parts warm water, and use it to gently scrub at the area. Let the solution soak in for a few minutes before rinsing with a clean, damp cloth. Once the stain has been removed, air dry the garment.
