The first step in removing urine stains from watches is to gather necessary supplies. You'll need a toothbrush, warm water, white vinegar, a soft cloth and some baking soda. If the stain is particularly stubborn, you may also want to use a chemical-based cleaning product.
The next step is to carefully remove the watch strap or band from watch itself. This will make it easier to access the area where the stain is located. It's important to be careful when removing the strap or band so as not to damage the watch.
Once watch strap or band has been removed, you'll need to apply a vinegar solution. Mix equal parts of warm water and white vinegar in a container and dip your toothbrush in mixture. Use the toothbrush to gently scrub the affected area until the stain starts to lift. You may need to repeat this step several times in order to completely remove the stain.
Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with warm water to remove any residue. Be sure to wipe the area dry with a soft cloth before moving on to the next step.
To restore the watch's shine, you'll need to apply a baking soda paste. Mix four teaspoons of baking soda with two tablespoons of warm water and stir until it forms a paste. Rub the paste onto the watch with a soft cloth and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.
Once the watch has been completely cleaned, allow it to dry thoroughly before reattaching the strap or band.
When cleaning watches with urine stains, it's important to use gentle cleaning products so as not to damage watch. Additionally, be sure to check the watch for any water damage after cleaning it. Finally, if the stain is still not coming off, it may be best to take it to a professional watch repair specialist.
