To start, take a dry, white cloth and press down on the stain to absorb as much of the urine as possible. Remember to not rub at the area; instead, gently press down and lift the fabric away from the stain. This will prevent the stain from spreading further.
Once you’ve blotted up the excess urine, it’s time to pre-treat the stain. Take a small amount of shampoo - preferably one that’s designed for delicate fabrics like Versace - and rub it into the stain, using your fingertips or a soft toothbrush. Let the shampoo sit on the stain for 15 minutes before rinsing it away with cool water.
Next, fill a sink or bucket with cold water and add a scoop of OxiClean. Place the garment into the mixture and let it soak for at least one hour. After that, drain the water and rinse fabric with cool water. Finally, check the garment for any remaining stains – if there are still some stubborn marks, repeat steps two and three.
Once you’ve removed all the stains, you’re ready to wash the garment. Place the item in a washing machine and set it to the correct cycle for the fabric. To be safe, use a gentle detergent and cool water. As an extra precaution, add a fabric softener to the wash.
When the cycle is complete, carefully remove the garment from the machine and lay it flat to air dry. Once it’s completely dry, inspect it for any remaining stains – if necessary, repeat the cleaning process.
Removing urine stains from delicate Versace clothing may take some time and patience, but with the right technique and cleaning products, you’ll have those stains gone in no time. Try the steps above and enjoy stain-free clothes once again!
