Removing Urine Stains

  1. Create a cleaning solution by combining warm water, white vinegar, and a mild laundry detergent. Stir to mix.
  2. Using a cloth or soft-bristled brush, apply the cleaning solution to the urine stain on your tie.
  3. Allow the cleaning solution to sit for a few minutes.
  4. Rinse the tie with warm water.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 until the stain is removed.
  6. Once the stain is gone, place a cloth underneath tie and lightly press using the warm setting on your iron. This will help the material from shrinking.

Preventing Urine Stains

To prevent further accidents and stains, it’s best to care for your tie properly. When laundering, turn the tie inside out and use a low-heat setting on your dryer. Additionally, keep your tie away from direct sunlight and other sources of heat, such as open flames or ovens.
