Immediately rinse the affected area with cold water and gently rub the fabric together with your hands. This will help prevent stain from becoming embedded in the fabric for easier cleaning.
Create a solution of one quarter cup of liquid laundry detergent and one gallon of cold water. Submerge the garment and allow it to soak for two to three hours.
Rinse the garment with cold water and blot spot with white vinegar. Allow vinegar to sit on the fabric a few minutes before rinsing it off. If a stain is still present, you can use a mild dish soap with warm or cold water and gently massage it into the affected areas. Let it sit for five minutes and then rinse with cold water.
The last step is to air-dry the garment. Gently blot the garment with a clean microfiber cloth to absorb any moisture. Once it is dry, you should be able to enjoy your swimwear—stain-free!
