Urine stains can be a tough thing to remove from clothing. Sweatpants are especially susceptible to staining, since their material is cotton or polyester and absorbs liquid more easily. Luckily, these helpful steps can help you get rid of those stubborn urine stains:

Step 1: Blot the Stain with a Dry Cloth

Take a dry cloth and gently blot the stain as much as possible. You don’t want to rub the stain, or it could spread and make it even bigger. This should help remove some of the liquid and make it easier to clean.

Step 2: Pre-Treat with a Stain Remover

Once you’ve blotted stain, pre-treat it with a stain remover or detergent. Make sure to use one specific for urine stains as that will be best for removing it. Treat the fabric and let it sit for a few minutes so it can do its job.

Step 3: Launder as Usual

Throw your clothes in the washing machine as normal. To up its power against the stain, you can add a cup of white vinegar to the wash cycle. The vinegar will help to break down the stain and make it easier to get rid of.

Step 4: Repeat if Necessary

If the stain isn’t completely gone after the first wash, don’t worry. You can repeat the same steps of pre-treating and laundering again until the stain is gone.

By following these simple steps, you should be able to get rid of any urine stains on your sweatpants. With a bit of patience, you can make sure your favorite clothes look spotless again.
