Removing Urine Stains from Stockings

Start by blotting up any excess urine with a clean, absorbent cloth. Then, mix together equal parts of vinegar and water in a bucket or basin.

Submerge the stained area of your stocking into solution and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then rinse with cold water and hang your stocking up to dry.

If the stain remains, you can make a paste using one part salt and two parts white vinegar. Rub paste onto the stain and let it sit for 10-20 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. Hang your stocking up to dry again.

Preventing Urine Stains on Stockings

To prevent urine stains from appearing on your stockings in first place, be sure to wear the proper diaper and clothing for your needs. This is especially important for children and elderly adults who are more likely to have accidents.

It's also important to change diapers regularly and be sure to thoroughly clean the area after each accident. If you use disposable items, like diapers or bed pads, be sure to throw them away promptly as they can be a source of bacteria.
