The fastest way to remove a urine stain from silk is to act quickly. The longer the urine remains on fabric, the harder it will be to remove. So as soon as you notice the stain, take action to remove it.
Using a clean cloth, gently blot up as much of the urine as possible. Be sure not to rub stain or press too hard as this can cause the stain to spread and become more difficult to remove. Also, do not allow the urine to dry on the fabric.
Rinse stained area with cold water to help remove any remaining urine. This will also help dilute the stain, making it easier to remove.
Mix together equal parts white vinegar and cool water. Soak the stained area of the fabric in this solution for about 15 minutes.
After soaking the stain in the vinegar solution, sprinkle some baking soda on the stained area. Allow the baking soda to sit on the stain for 10 minutes before gently scrubbing the area with a soft-bristled brush or sponge. Rinse fabric with cold water.
Once the stain is gone, place the fabric in the washing machine and launder it using a gentle cycle along with a mild detergent. Then hang the fabric up to dry.
Never do laundry again. Save time for things you ❤️
