If you've ever had a child or pet that left a urine stain on a poncho, you know how unsightly and uncomfortable they can be. It's also difficult to clean urine out of materials like ponchos due to their unique material make-up. But don't worry! With the right tools and instructions, you can easily and safely remove urine stains from your poncho.

Tools Needed

  • White vinegar
  • Laundry detergent
  • Baking soda
  • Water
  • Soft cloths
  • Towel

Instructions

  1. Fill a basin or bucket with hot water and add laundry detergent.
  2. Submerge the affected area of the poncho in the solution for about 30 minutes.
  3. Rinse the poncho under warm or cold running water.
  4. Prepare a mixture of one gallon of hot water, ¼ cup of white vinegar, and a tablespoon of baking soda. Stir well.
  5. Dip a soft cloth into solution and use it to gently rub the stain. Do not scrub too hard or it could damage the material.
  6. Rinse the area with plain water to remove any residue from the cleaning solution.
  7. Pat area dry with a towel.
  8. Air dry the poncho away from direct sunlight.
