When dealing with urine stains on polyester fabric, the sooner you start cleaning, the better. If the stain is already dry, you’ll need to rehydrate it before attempting to clean it. The best way to do this is by soaking the stained area of the fabric in cool water with a teaspoon of enzymatic laundry detergent for 20 to 30 minutes. This will help to break down the proteins in the urine.

Once the stain has been rehydrated, you can begin to treat it. Start by blotting area with a paper towel to remove any excess liquid. Then, mix a solution of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts cool water, and use a sponge or soft brush to apply this solution to the stained area. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes, then rinse well with cool water.

After rinsing, you should now have a lighter version of the stain. To remove it completely, make a paste from a tablespoon of baking soda and a few drops of cool water. Spread the paste onto the stained area, allowing it to sit for 10-15 minutes. Once it has had sufficient time to work, simply wipe the paste away with a damp cloth and rinse with cool water.

Before drying the fabric, check the stain to make sure that it has been completely removed. If it hasn’t, repeat the above steps until it is completely gone. Once you are sure it is gone, wash the fabric in the washing machine according to care label instructions, and allow it to air dry.
