Urine stains in light-colored panties aren’t a pleasant sight. But good news: It’s not difficult to make them disappear. Here’s how to go about it:
Immediately after accident, grab a paper towel or cloth and use it to blot up the excess urine from your panties. Press down firmly but gently to absorb as much of liquid as possible.
Fill a bowl or basin with cold water and add a few drops of non-bleach detergent. Submerge the soiled panties and let them soak for 15 minutes. This will help to pre-treat the stain, making it easier to remove later.
Remove the panties from water and rinse with cold water. This will help to get rid of any detergent residue.
Remove as much of the moisture from panties as possible using a dry towel. Put them in the washing machine with cold water, a few small pieces of laundry soap, and a bit of white vinegar. Let the cycle finish—your panties will come out as good as new!
To be extra safe, let your panties air dry instead of putting them in the dryer. This will help prevent any possible discoloration caused by the heat and will ensure that the stain has been completely removed.
Urine stains are an unavoidable fact of life, but they don’t have to be an insurmountable problem. By following these five steps, you can easily get rid of urine stains from your panties.
