What You Need

  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Dish soap
  • Paper towels
  • Laundry detergent

Steps to Clean Urine Stains from Your Nike Shoes

  1. Blot up as much of the urine as possible with paper towels. Don't rub as this will spread the stain.
  2. Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a bowl.
  3. Apply the mixture to the stained area using a clean cloth and scrub gently. This helps to break up the stain and the acidity in the vinegar neutralizes the ammonia in the urine.
  4. Rinse the area with lukewarm water, then blot dry with paper towels to remove moisture.
  5. Mix baking soda and dish soap into a paste, then apply it directly to the stain. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  6. Rinse off with cold or lukewarm water.
  7. Make sure the shoe is completely dry before adding a small amount of laundry detergent to the stain. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  8. Rinse with cold water and let the shoes air dry.

Additional Tips

  • Always blot a stain instead of rubbing it, as this can spread the stain.
  • If you can’t get stain completely out, you can always try using a stain remover.
  • When cleaning, be gentle and avoid harsh scrubbing. This will prevent the dye on the shoes from fading.
