The first step in removing a urine stain is to blot any excess liquid with a clean cloth. As much of the liquid as possible should be taken up by using gentle pressure.
Once the stain has been blotted, mix white vinegar in a bowl with an equal amount of warm water. Using a brush, lightly saturate the stain with the mixture, making sure to cover all areas.
After pre-treating the stain, sprinkle baking soda over the area. Allow the baking soda to sit for at least 10 minutes before removing.
Once the baking soda has had time to sit, place the fabric in a washing machine along with laundry detergent of your choice. Wash clothing on the highest heat setting that is safe for the fabric.
After the fabric is washed and dried, use a stiff brush to scrub the area again. This will help to ensure that any remaining residue is removed and the fabric looks like new.
