No matter what type of mesh fabric you have, it can be difficult to remove those ugly yellow stains caused by urine. Whether your mesh fabric is part of a clothing item or the mesh of a chair, no one likes the unsightly discoloration. But you don’t have to put up with the marks any longer! Here are some tips on how to easily and quickly clean urine stains from mesh fabric.

Gather Supplies

Before you begin, you’ll need a few supplies to get the job done. Gather up some clean rags, white vinegar, and a laundry detergent that does not contain bleach or enzymes.

Vinegar Wash

The first thing you should do is rinse the urine stain with clean water to get rid of the surface buildup. Then, create a solution using equal parts white vinegar and cold water. Soak a clean rag in the mixture and lay it over the stain. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes, then remove rag and rinse the area with cold water. Repeat as needed until the stain fades.

Detergent Wash

If the urine stain remains after trying vinegar wash, use a liquid laundry detergent that does not contain bleach. Put a small amount of detergent onto stained area and gently rub it in using a clean rag. Allow the detergent to sit on the fabric for a few minutes, then rinse it off with cold water. Repeat until the stain is gone.

Prevent Future Stains

Once you've successfully removed the urine stain, it's a good idea to apply a waterproofing spray or fabric protector to fabric to help prevent future stains. This will provide a protective barrier against liquids and keep your items looking nice and clean.
