The key to getting out specifically urine stains is to act quickly. The sooner you start the cleaning process, the better your chances of eliminating the stain without further effort or damage to fabric.
Take a white cloth or paper towel and press it against the stain to soak up as much liquid as possible. Don't wipe it, as this can actually spread the stain across the fabric.
Mix a mild detergent with cold water. If you're using a detergent that's designed for whites, add a small amount of color-safe bleach. The goal is to create a very mild solution, so you should use only a small amount of detergent and bleach.
Apply the detergent solution directly to the stain and let it soak in for 15-20 minutes. Then, blot the area with a clean cloth or paper towel to remove as much moisture as possible.
Rinse stained area with cold water. Blot it again with a clean cloth to remove excess moisture.
Allow the area to air dry. If possible, put the jersey outside in the sun, as the UV rays can help speed up the drying process and may even help fade the stain.
If the stain is still visible after jersey has dried, repeat Steps 3-6 as needed.
