When accidents happen and your garter is stained with urine, Vinegar is your best friend! All you need to do is mix vinegar and water together in a 1:1 ratio to create an effective cleaning solution. Soak garter in this mixture and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
Next, take out the garter and rinse it in cold water. Make sure to squeeze out any excess water from garter after the rinse. Then, take a clean cloth and gently scrub the stains away. Repeat this step until all urine stains have been removed.
Once the stains have been removed, hang the garter up to dry. It is also important to avoid using a clothes dryer or direct heat to dry the garter as this can cause further damage. Air drying is the best option.
You can also use an enzymatic stain remover specifically designed for urine stains. These products contain useful bacteria that break down and remove urine stains without damaging the fabric. Use product according to the instructions on the bottle and then wash the garter as normal.
Lastly, always read the garment’s label before starting the cleaning process. Some fabrics may require special care, so make sure to check the manufacturer’s instructions for the best results.
