Step-by-Step Instructions
- As soon as possible after the accident, blot up as much urine as possible with a cleaning cloth.
- Fill a bucket or bowl with one part white vinegar and two parts warm water. Submerge stained area of your down jacket in the solution.
- Let the stained area soak for 1-2 hours.
- Remove your down jacket from the solution and rinse with clean warm water.
- For stubborn stains, mix 1 part detergent and 4 parts warm water in a bucket or bowl. Dip a cleaning cloth into mixture and apply to the stained area.
- Rinse the stained area thoroughly with clean warm water and let it dry.
- Once the down jacket is dry, check for any remaining stains. If there are still some, repeat steps 4-7 until stain is completely gone.
