What You'll Need:

  • Clean paper towels
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Dish soap
  • Cotton balls
  • Vinegar

Steps:

  1. Note the age of the stain and act accordingly. If the stain is fresh, you should use dish soap and water. If the stain is older, use hydrogen peroxide instead.
  2. Cover the stain with a clean piece of paper towel and use your fingers to press gently until the towel is saturated with liquid. Avoid rubbing the area as this may spread the stain further.
  3. Once the area is covered with a wet towel, apply a few drops of dish soap onto the spot and rub it in circular motions using a cotton ball.
  4. Rinse the area with lukewarm water and re-apply the paper towel to soak up any remaining liquid.
  5. Mix together equal parts white vinegar and water and apply the solution onto the stain. Rinse the area once again with lukewarm water and air dry.

Tips:

  • When washing or cleaning the fabric, avoid using hot water as this could set the stain into the fabric and make it harder to remove.
  • If the stain persists, try repeating the steps above or take it to a professional dry cleaner.
  • Avoid using bleach or any other harsh chemicals on the fabric to avoid damaging the material.
