First, you’ll need to gather a few supplies. This is what you’ll need:
Before you start scrubbing or using any of items above, you’ll want to start by lightly blotting stained area with a cloth or paper towel. Start from the outside in, so you don’t inadvertently spread the stain. This will help remove some of the excess urine that may still be lingering.
Mix a teaspoon of dish soap with two cups of water. Using an old toothbrush, gently work it into stained area in a circular motion. Work it for about a minute then let it sit for another five minutes.
Rinse off soap solution with water. If the stain has lightened, good! You’re done. If the stain persists, keep reading.
Create a paste using equal parts baking soda, vinegar, and hydrogen peroxide. Apply the paste onto stain and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then, rinse away paste with cold water.
Lemon juice is a great natural way to remove urine stains. Create a solution of lemon juice and water, then apply it to stain and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then, rinse it away with cold water.
Urine stains don’t always have to be a problem – you can prevent them from happening in the first place. To do so, make sure to always blot up accidents when they occur, and avoid letting urine sit for too long on the fabric of your shoes. You should also try to avoid wearing your Converse in wet weather, as this can lead to more persistent stains.
