The key to effective urine stain removal is acting quickly. Blot the stain with a color-safe absorbent cloth, such as a white towel or thick paper towel, to absorb as much of the stain as possible.

Step 2: Pre-treat the Stain

In a small bowl, mix two tablespoons of laundry detergent with two cups of cold water. Dip a cloth into the solution and gently rub it into the urine stain. This will help to break down the stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 3: Wash Clothes
