Instructions for Removing Urine Stains from Barrettes

  1. The first step is to use a damp cloth to wipe away as much of the stain as possible.
  2. Next, mix a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar in a bowl.
  3. Dip the barrette in the vinegar mixture and leave it there for 10 minutes.
  4. Using a small brush, scrub the barrette gently to remove the remaining urine residue.
  5. Rinse the barrette with water and place it on a paper towel to air dry.

Tips for Cleaning Urine Stains off of Barrettes

  • If the urine stain has been on the barrette for a while, you may need to soak the barrette overnight in vinegar solution instead of only 10 minutes.
  • If the barrette is made with a sensitive material such as leather, try using baking soda instead of white vinegar.
  • Don't put barrettes made of delicate materials in dishwasher, as this could damage them.
