What You Will Need:

  • A soft cloth
  • Rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover
  • A toothbrush
  • A q-tip or cotton swab

Step One: Gently Wipe Away as Much as You Can

When you first notice the tree sap stain, use a soft cloth to wipe away as much of it as possible. Do not press or rub too hard, as this could cause further damage to the watch.

Step Two: Apply Rubbing Alcohol or Nail Polish Remover

Soak a q-tip or cotton swab in rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover, then gently work it into the sap stain with your fingers. Don't rub harder than necessary and do not allow the cleaning solution to come into contact with the watch’s metal parts as these can be corroded by the chemicals.

Step Three: Use a Toothbrush to Scrub Gently

Once sap stain has been softened, use a soft toothbrush to scrub the area gently. This should help remove the last traces of the stain and help restore the watch to its former glory.

Step Four: Wipe Clean and Enjoy Your Timepiece

Use a soft cloth to wipe away any remaining stains or residue and finish by buffing the watch’s metal parts. Once you're done, you'll have a spotless watch that looks as good as new.
