Tree sap consists largely of resin and can be a nuisance when it makes its way onto clothes, upholstery, or in this case, our beloved UGGs. You can’t just wipe it away with a wet cloth or throw it in the washing machine, either – both of these methods can make things worse. Instead, there are a few steps you need to take in order to remove stain correctly.

Step 1: Put the UGGs in the Freezer

This is an easy first step that should help loosen the tree sap. Place your UGGs in an airtight plastic bag and pop them in freezer overnight. The cold temperature should make the sap stiffen and become brittle.

Step 2: Gently Scrape Away Residue

Once the resin has hardened, carefully scrape away any remaining residue with a butter knife. Be sure to use gentle strokes and not press down too hard – UGGs should not be treated with too much pressure!

Step 3: Clean With Alcohol

Soak a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and use it to clean the area where the sap was. This should help remove any remaining residue and also disinfect stain.

Step 4: Let Dry and Enjoy

Let your UGGs air dry for a few hours. Once it’s done, your UGGs should be sap-free and looking as good as new. You can now enjoy the comfort and style of your beloved UGGs without worrying about any unsightly tree sap stains!
