The first step is to prepare the cleaning solution. Mix together rubbing alcohol or a citrus-based cleaner and cold water in equal parts. You may need more or less of the cleaner depending on severity of the stain.
Once the solution is prepared, it is time to apply it to the stained area. Using a scrub brush or a damp cloth, gently massage the mixture into the stained fabric. Make sure to use light strokes and avoid scrubbing too hard, as this can cause sap stain to spread.
Once the sap stain is lifted, rinse the area with cold water until it is completely removed. Finally, press a paper towel against the fabric to absorb any excess moisture before laying the tank top out to air dry.
Tree sap stains can be stubborn, but with the right cleaning solution and a little bit of patience, you can easily remove them from your clothing. With these simple steps, you'll have a clean tank top in no time.
