The first step to getting rid of tree sap stains is to create a soapy solution. To do this, mix together one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and two cups of warm water. Make sure to mix it until the solution becomes sudsy and soap bubbles form, then use it to soak stain.
Once the soapy solution is ready, set your sweatpants into a sink or bowl and pour the solution over stained area. Let your sweatpants soak in the soapy solution for about 10 minutes. This will help loosen up the tree sap.
After allowing the sweatpants to soak in the soapy solution, take a soft-bristled brush and scrub stained area gently. You may also need to add more of the soapy solution to the area in order for it to become fully saturated.
Once you have finished scrubbing the stain, rinse your sweatpants in water and then wash them in a washing machine with laundry detergent. Once finished, let your sweatpants dry and the tree sap stain should be lifted from the fabric.
